So I went to pull my clutch off to clean it and I stripped the threads with the clutch puller. I've done it 20 times and never had a issue. I got the puller out and the threads were mashed on it. I tried to thread the clutch bolt in and you can feel it binding up. Can I just re tap it? If so anyone know the size? If I re tap it do you think I can get it off trying the water method? It's a 11 800 etec. Any help would be appreciated.

Try and thread chase the threads first before you run a tap through it as the tap cuts into the threads and the thread chase cleans and straightens them. As far as thread size can't help you there. Good luck.

If you can get any bolt pressure on it I've used boiling hot water poured over the sheave and that instant temp change usually will create some expansion. Works really good if the sled is outside in the cold.
