hahaha...if I had a four place...we could always put ur sled on top of the burbon![]()
all three names are the same general riding area.
you will be driving on i-90 for 2 hours until the fish creek exit. Than probably another half hour to the unloading point.
great riding area just long drive.
I know most people don't worry about the land use side of things, but occassionally it needs brought up.
The 406 side of area 406 has been closed since 2000. You are actually riding in area 208. The road to the outhouse and out past the outhouse to the ridge is legal. But not getting off of that road. There where fish cops up there last year giving tickets for that.
Once you are on the ridge, dropping to the left or into montana is not legal, but is the best riding in there. Most guys do drop in that way, but you should know.
The bummer part is that the lolo national forest wants the clearwater national forest to close the clearwater natl forest down to snowmobiles.
MAinly if idaho is closed there will be no reason to sled there and any trucks parked at the bottom will be illegal.
This travel plan for the clearwater national forest has been put on hold for this year, but the clearwater national forest really want to make the great burn a wilderness area. When the time comes we will really need everyone to right letters to keep this great riding area open.
So when you are over there, keep this in mind and be ready to write letters and fight for this area. I am also losing this area to my mountain bike, another set of letters and another time.

I dumbwell ignorant.
I knew you youngsters (and 03Rmking) would freak on the time or saturdays ride. But its a drive and gotta make hay while the sun is shining. Try getting up early every so often. Its very liberating, just ask TOM after a night out in REVY!
