greatly blessedWe are very fortunate.
Maybe because we have a functioning education system up here??What are the chances that there would be not just one, but TWO foreign policy AND tariff experts, and, AND they are BOTH from the well known superpower of Canada!!
This is probably way more miraculous than the Seven Wonders of the World, and closer to the big bang theory!
Propaganda, eh? Who do you think pays the tariff when Donny says he “slapped a 104% tariff on China”? Here’s a hint-it’s not the Chinese…. But Donny and Fox won’t tell you that. The propaganda in America's evil top hat is very effective.
Maybe because we have a functioning education system up here??
Here’s a little Econ 101 for ya…. As a general contractor I have a “trade deficit “ with the local lumber yard as defined by your stable genius. I give them money, they give me the products I need to run my business, employ multiple people and support other businesses such as subtrades, other suppliers etc. kinda like businesses in the US buying components from China that they need to assemble products for their business in the US. The electronic components in my 9R that are made overseas come to mind…
The number of jobs created by the lumber yard, my business, and all of the associated businesses that come into play right down to the realtor that sells a house that we build GREATLY outnumber the minuscule amount of capacity from the mill that makes the lumber and components that we use. Could we make our own lumber? Sure, but it would take a massive investment, access to raw materials, and the stuff we made for the first few years would probably suck, especially compared to some of the engineered lumber we get. Not to mention it would cost an order of magnitude more. And our limited resources would be doing that instead of driving other components of the economy.
Long story short-you are cutting off your nose to spite your face, the number of jobs that stand to be lost by cutting off access to viable, skilled and experienced manufacturers and attempting to make Billy bob in Alabama assemble electronics or build a carbon fibre bike frame are HUGE.
No one is going to buy stuff made in the US after this stunt. Why would we when no one can trust you and you know jack **** about manufacturing?
This will go down in history as the biggest economic mistake since the Smoot Hawley act. If you don’t know what that is or what it resulted in you should look it up.
NAFTA ...USMCA ...you had "free trade" till dumbass decided that he did a **** job negotiating and that everyone inc Canada & Mexico plus Heard / McDonald islands were ripping you off + he has no clue what surplus / deficit entails. So why is it ok for other countries to tariff US goods, but bad for US to tariff other countries goods? Wouldn't Zero tariffs on either side be ideal?
You now pay x% more to buy a new skidoo because Fox News convinced Donny that there is a 280% tariff on us dairy brought into Canada. The reality is that tariff has never been charged because it is quota based and the imports never got close to that volume. Mostly because we don’t want your hormone injected ****.
Is this the same guy that got the jab and 14 boosters?
