So....how's Liberation Day working out for you so far?

What are the chances that there would be not just one, but TWO foreign policy AND tariff experts, and, AND they are BOTH from the well known superpower of Canada!!

This is probably way more miraculous than the Seven Wonders of the World, and closer to the big bang theory!

Maybe because we have a functioning education system up here??

Here’s a little Econ 101 for ya…. As a general contractor I have a “trade deficit “ with the local lumber yard as defined by your stable genius. I give them money, they give me the products I need to run my business, employ multiple people and support other businesses such as subtrades, other suppliers etc. kinda like businesses in the US buying components from China that they need to assemble products for their business in the US. The electronic components in my 9R that are made overseas come to mind…

The number of jobs created by the lumber yard, my business, and all of the associated businesses that come into play right down to the realtor that sells a house that we build GREATLY outnumber the minuscule amount of capacity from the mill that makes the lumber and components that we use. Could we make our own lumber? Sure, but it would take a massive investment, access to raw materials, and the stuff we made for the first few years would probably suck, especially compared to some of the engineered lumber we get. Not to mention it would cost an order of magnitude more. And our limited resources would be doing that instead of driving other components of the economy.

Long story short-you are cutting off your nose to spite your face, the number of jobs that stand to be lost by cutting off access to viable, skilled and experienced manufacturers and attempting to make Billy bob in Alabama assemble electronics or build a carbon fibre bike frame are HUGE.

No one is going to buy stuff made in the US after this stunt. Why would we when no one can trust you and you know jack **** about manufacturing?

This will go down in history as the biggest economic mistake since the Smoot Hawley act. If you don’t know what that is or what it resulted in you should look it up.

The propaganda in America's evil top hat is very effective.
Propaganda, eh? Who do you think pays the tariff when Donny says he “slapped a 104% tariff on China”? Here’s a hint-it’s not the Chinese…. But Donny and Fox won’t tell you that.
The guys that claim to be all about “freedom” and “muy raights” are all of the sudden a bunch of cucks that are happy to have the government tell them who they can and can’t purchase stuff from. Whatever happened to the free market? I thought fox told you the economy would crash and food would be unaffordable when California pushed to pay fast food workers a living wage? Now you’re happy to pay 10x as much for an iPhone so some guy in Alabama can get paid $50/hour to build one 10 years from now? I’m thoroughly impressed by the stupidity involved these days, it’s downright amazing.

Just let it age for a couple months.

Can't blame you canucks for being mad at DT though.
You're losing your free ride.

If you can sneak past your commie overlords censorship maybe you should try learning a little outside your echo chamber.

Harping on about fox has zero relevance.
They are just as dead as the rest of legacy media.

The gravy train is coming to an end.

As of April 2024, the five countries owning the most US debt are Japan ($1.1 trillion), China ($749.0 billion), the United Kingdom ($690.2 billion), Luxembourg ($373.5 billion), and Canada ($328.7 billion).

James T Kirk, you should be worried about your new prime minister.

Canada is in for a serious rough road and it's not the United States that you should be focused on but the UK.

The UK just sent over an untouchable.

Carney, 59, is a career banker and climate advocate with the globalist mindset of a true Davos man — credentials now out of favor in Washington. He’s a policy wonk who has dedicated much of his life to public service but not public office. He’s a lifelong ice hockey fan (and one-time collegiate player) who also pops up in the Royal Box at Wimbledon.

Right out of the fake news

So why is it ok for other countries to tariff US goods, but bad for US to tariff other countries goods? Wouldn't Zero tariffs on either side be ideal?

NAFTA ...USMCA ...you had "free trade" till dumbass decided that he did a **** job negotiating and that everyone inc Canada & Mexico plus Heard / McDonald islands were ripping you off + he has no clue what surplus / deficit entails.
FYI - recently took delivery of some additional electronic controls for those Cummins engines and had them shipped from Norway and not US. They would have been duty free from US branch when I placed the order till dumbass started an economic ****show. I received them yesterday from Norway and guess what - no tarriffs duties or tarriffs / duties. Maybe Canada was just being nicer to the Norwegians or perhaps their trade negotiators were smarter than Donny & Greer ...
DUmpy has bitten off more than he can chew with China....add Vance's moronic comments about borrowing from Chinese peasants to buy **** from them will only embolden Xi Jinping.
donny thinks he's some sort of Marlin Brandon character (the "I could be so tough" **** he went on with in the WH with Zelinski🤣🤣) and a bunch of toadies hanging on every word ....
So much for checks / balance when your dictator assumes control by calling everything an emergency / war ....Justin pulled same **** here but only got away with it once ....
🍲

You now pay x% more to buy a new skidoo because Fox News convinced Donny that there is a 280% tariff on us dairy brought into Canada. The reality is that tariff has never been charged because it is quota based and the imports never got close to that volume. Mostly because we don’t want your hormone injected ****.

Is this the same guy that got the jab and 14 boosters?
