never been on a snowbike, but they look fun.

one thing gets me, I have never seen a video clip or pic of one in deep powder ,,

sure some pow ,, something a 136 x1.5 could easily tackle

but nothing like over the hood carving snow.. its like bigfoot ... no pics or vids exist heh

I bet they could hold a sidehill pretty good in set up snow

say in 30 inchs of fresh on top of a hard base.

uphill 30*incline

how would the snobike compare to a 153/4/5 2.25

straight up the hill

If you're climbing hills on a snowbike you're doing it wrong.

30" with a base isn't much of a problem. The bikes don't have running boards to get hung up on so they'll keep digging until they find traction.

This day was probably around 24" of fluff with not much of a hard base.

Sled would win everytime. Bikes arent intended to be fast or point and shoot machines. They must be ridden :)

dang those facebook vids look fun as hell

TIGHT LINES! i wouldnt be running half that fast on a sled through that, if at all.

yah noticed no uphill moments, only sidehilll or downhill. with all the marginal snow conditions in the lower 48 in recent years this could be whats next for me.

also are your shins and knees just getting blasted and breaking trail the whole time?

Interesting that the riders are sitting most of the time, same terrain with a sled riders are standing, I know I have seen some gnarly lines across steep slopes with fairly set up snow, A sled would wash out if trying the same line. I would rather bury a bike over a 500 lbs pound sled that is for sure.

looks like they have to sit down in order to lift their legs and boots out of the snow
