Not sure the weight difference between a Neo, Blast, and EVO, vs a straight up 600 AXYS but I don't think its much. Seems like all the "kids / pre-teen" sleds have short comings in suspension or running boards vs "adult" sleds. I really deliberated what to buy for my son who at the time just turned 12 before winter started and had been riding a 200 & old 340 previously. I ended up getting a used four year old 2018 AXYS 600 155 for him. First year we only got them out a few times because it was a bad snow year so no real experience there. Second year (13 years old) was a good snow year and at times he did pretty good and at other times he struggled. One day he was struggling I got on it to turn it around and I honestly struggled myself because it wouldn't spin the track. The previous owner had upgraded the track to the series 6. He said it made a huge difference, I think it made it hook up too good so the track wouldn't spin which makes it hard to turn. I put a Kurts gear down kit on it which made a night and day difference. This thing absolutely spins the track now and will dig down to China in the deep and steep stuff just like an 800 but yet won't go crazy fast like an 800. The ideal setup would be to put a 146" track under a 155 chassis when they are younger, then as they grow put the 155" track back on.
