narrow my summit xp?

I would like to narrow my front ski stance by about 2 inches or so more than the narrowest setting . does anyone make a arms for this or is it possible to cut mine down and weld them? it is a 09 summit x.thanks

My guess is there is a much better solution to your problem than a much narrow front ski stance...

PS there are no company's making them that I am aware of.

Would also like to know why you would want to narrow it that much. Im 160 soaking wet with my gear on and i have no problem laying my 09 summit over.

Yes you can narrow a bit. My local shop makes thier own front end with offset spindles.All billet light weight and look great,PM and I will set U up

Mine is narrowed 1 inch from a spindle mod and falls over with much less effort,Sidehills easily,A much more responsive handling sled for my style of riding.And I have Float2,s, No sway bar, 9 inch risers ect.All mountain riding all day.

i do not have problems laying the sled over. I just want to make it a little easier. i ride a lot for tight technical stuff and miss my m7 for that reason only. i think by narrowing it up 2-3 inches it would fit my style alot better.

Let me clarify.... in epic deep powder the sled lays over like a dream come true, but in anything less than 12 inches of fresh it takes more effort than you would like and often wants to flop back flat. What I mean is in low "fresh" snow conditions it takes effort 10 to lay over and you would like it to be more like effort 5. You would like to save those extra efforts to dig out your buddy's rather than wrestling with your sled all day.

Here was my Free solution because I had the same dam problem. I tilted my bars back to make the natural position of my feet about 16" out of the foot wells. I pulled the sway bar out and did the ski swap... put the left ski on the right side so forth.... that stupid mod made the biggest improvement on laying that sled over in low fresh snow conditions and its free.

I also tried to run the front shocks as soft as I could possible handle.

Get rid of the stock skis and go powder pros, night and day difference! You can then sit on the seat and carve around on hardpack on one ski without getting sore arms! the sled practically falls over on its own now with the sway bar still in it, I took the sway bar out for a day and put it back in as it was too tippy with the powder pros.
