Questions for Max at MPI
Max,
The work that you have done already is impressive...
Some questions that I hope you can take a few moments to answer for our readers...
1) When will MPI have actual consumer production sled(s) to do beta testing on for your 850-Etec kits?
2) How much beta testing and validation on a production sled before this MPI kit is released to the public?
3) Have you been on the snow yet with any version of this kit as it will be produced (the demo kit shown in the first post of this thread), or was that a validation configuration?
4) When are the MPI kits estimated to be available for distribution?
Will Christopher and/or the crew at SnoWest/Harris be getting advance copies of this kit so we can all see what it is capable of?

If Ski-Doo is able to get me 1 or 2 of the new 850s, we had hoped to do a full MPI Turbo Kit install at the upcoming SnowShows.
But right now it just doesn't look like there are any sleds for them to get into my hands YET...

If everything comes together, we will have a brand new bone stock 850 E-Tec that we will do a full Pump Gas Turbo install on at the show.
This will be video recorded and will be LIVE CAST over FaceBook for anyone that would like to see the new kit in detail and see exactly how to install it in short order.
Right now it all depends on us getting a new 850 Thursday Night..

Based on the last few years of experience, I don't think he is worried about getting MORE customers. His challenge has been being able to produce enough product just to fill the huge demand he already has.He may gain a few more customers if he (Mac) answered the questions here instead of having you put it on here.
While I wish I could get him to come on here and participate, that is just NOT in his nature.
I think you are mistaken Eric.
If you go back and check your logs you will see Mac has not logged into his SW account since 03-03-2014, and NO ONE from MPI has logged into this thread.
Try thought I may (and I DO TRY) they are just not into the Social Media scene at all. He is totally OLD SCHOOL in sales and marketing.
This weekend I will be HANDS ON his kit for a couple days.
Hopefully after that "I" will be able to offer up some answers to the questions other SW members have.
Can't blame him at all for that. This place gets retarted damn fast when there is a direct link from consumer to manufacturer with only a keyboard and computer screen in front of them.
Mac is a hell of a nice guy, and while it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out he DOES in fact poke in here from time to time on an ALIAS account, I have not seen him take up a position on SnoWest like some of his past employees have.
I will keep on POKING him to show his face more often around here!!

Naaa. Leave him alone. Way to many good manufactures been scared away on here..... GOD Forbid someone with a real question actually calls him! If the people don't have the balls to call and want to hide behind their screen. Then **** em. Most people go with the cheap junk anyway and just want to "know" about other kits so they can slam em. Kudos to MAC for staying off the forums and keeping it REAL!

Got a call into MPI right now asking for an update on final status.
I know everyone has been looking for an update on whats going on with MPI.
I had a nice long conversation with Mac this morning.
A very limited number of kits were finished last week.
A few more will be done by the end of this week
There are two aircraft inbound with 2 pallets of components on them due to arrive end of this week. If both of them clear customs without any delays, MPI will be ready to begin shipping in bulk by the end of next week. But that is entirely dependent on the last 2 parts that are on those planes clearing customs and being delivered to Salt Lake City. Otherwise the kits are ready to rock and roll and just await the last 2 parts to go into each box before being sealed and SHIPPED OUT!
Also.
I believe they are going to shoot a video this weekend showing one of the finished kits being installed for a retail customer and making that available for everyone to see next week.
