I have a gear down kit from my 2015 Pro. I know a lot of people are putting the stock pro gears on the 850 and they like it. I see the new Kurts gear down kit goes to 2.37 ratio and the kit I have looks to be a 2.41. Anyone see any issues by running this kit? Thanks

I see no issues.

I have a TLI kit with the 2.41 gears on my 2013, but with 7t drivers.

Gearing down is good. You only lose a couple of miles off the very top end at full shift, but who in the mountains gets 85mph track speed.
Gearing down will INCREASE trackspeed on climbs. I don't know HOW you can gear it down so much that it reduces that track speed we see in steep and deep climbs (35-50mph)

I’m at 3.65 (22/84) 8 tooth final gear ratio on a 174” and it still isn’t too low in the mountains. It’s crazy af I know. Each gear I drop it just keeps getting better.
My point is that gearing down is good. Think outside the box. Experiment. Cool things can happen.

I ordered the TKI kit for my 850. I have had their kit on both my doo and axys 800. I run the 25/63 or 2.52 gear ratio and love it. That is what I ordered for the poo 850. I think it will serve just as good in the new motor. Plus the stock helix is a 42* over the axys 800's 40* so it should be able to use the clutch to shift out more. But we will see. If I find it to be too low, I can change the gear ratio simply with a different top sprocket. This is why I like the TKI over the Kurt's GD kit.
