I had a friend who cut the can off his and welded on a car exhaust tip. A lot of guys gut their cans too. The less there is to muffle the sound the louder it will be.

When he cut his can off and welded the car tip on how loud was it?? Not crazy loud was it?? I don't want to make my son deaf LOL but he just wants something little barky like his dads!! LOL

couldn't you use 1/2 a 700 twin set and fit it to the Y pipe. Should be close to the same 340 is almost 1/2 the 700..

Are you saying cut off the Y pipe side of the 700 exhaust, then weld the Y pipe side of the stock 340 on in place of it?

The only thing I for see being an issue would be the actual clearance the pipe will have under the hood, from the front of the sled to the motor, as well as the clearance between the shock tower and the hood. I also don't know if the 340 exhaust flange would weld straight up to the 700 flange with out adding or cutting out material.

Wait, I see what you're saying know... My apologies, I missed that "twin set" part....

He might also be able to work an exhaust off of an edge 440 in there...?
