I just recieved one of my intercooled kits today. The “dry” weight of the intercooler is 3lbs 4 oz and looks like it will take a beating! The patriot 2.0 kit from silber is top notch and has the best fit and finish they have put out yet!

I think the "intercooler" is a closed loop water cooling heat exchanger for the turbo? Lower charge temps?

so silber Just cools the turbo housing with the standalone system?

I thought there would be an actual intercooler “core” to efficiently transfer the heat.

I dont know that for certain, that's what I've been lead to believe and see in that picture.

I would love to see a cored water to air intercooler with a stand alone heat exchanger like this. I know it would cost more but I'd be very interested.

Here are some pictures of the complete kit. Lots of upgrades overall. New silencer, new mounting brackets, cast stainless exhaust pipe/turbos inlet, new air box. Fits a cooker...

The intercooler is a cooled compressor housing and is tied into the sleds cooling system also... could make it a standalone closed loop with a little pump pretty easy if you wanted too.

It does just cool the compressor housing. Silbers original system was a stand alone with water to air with a core in the air box. Once thing I found after running it was the heat it produced from the extra pressure of the added core. Created much higher under hood temps. We will get some heat gun temps from the cooled and un-cooled housings this winter.

do you have any pics of how the coils are supposed to mount to the bracket in the kit. I can figure that out with mine
