Initial Charge of a AGM Battery

I just bought a new battery for my 2017 Ayxs with electric start. I have never purchased and charged an AGM battery before. It appears the initial charge is very important for battery longevity, It specifically calls for a 1.8 amp charge. I don't have a charger rated for 1.8 amps and the motorsport battery chargers I see for sale and suggested for motorsports battery like Battery Tender Jr 750MA and the Tusk charger 1.5 amps aren't rated high enough. How important is the charge rate? What do others do?
