Indy Lite Belt Deflection(Secondary Clutch Washers)

Hello,


Just installed a new belt(Polaris P/N 3211058) on a '96 Indy Lite.

I now have 7/8" belt deflection(at most) along with belt creep which is no surprise.


According to the Polaris on-line parts catalog, there appears to be 2 washers available for the secondary for setting the belt deflection(P/N 7556804 & 7555898).


I was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head what the dimensions of those washers would be(I.D. / O.D. / thickness)? Now I'm probably really pushing it here, but how much thickness would I have to add to get from 7/8" to 1 - 1.250" belt defelection?

Being that I don't have the clutch apart yet, I was hoping to see if I had anything at work that I could substitute for the OEM parts.

According to that I would think the first number is the hole size, second number is the outside diameter and the last number is the thickness.
I have no clue how many to increase it that much.

As luck would have it I just finished installing the washers.

I had some .040" & .060" brake s-cam washers laying around that fit the bill. They are 2.250" O.D. but when set on top of the existing shim pack there are no clearance issues with the ribs inside the clutch.
