Hey guys can anyone that has heard both tell me what the biggest difference is in the two?
I have hps on a few sleds and would like to try a GGB... Just not sure if I should stick with hps

The GGB trail is more like the HPS can. The mountain can is a lot more aggressive than the HPS. Build quality the same, both are very good.

I've had the GGB mountain can for the past 2 years and love it. Sounds really aggressive, not legal on trails for sure.

GGB Mountain Can:
This muffler is a super lightweight, straight through flow design with an aggressive exhaust note. System fits securely in the stock location using stock mounts and is guaranteed to provide performance levels as good as or better than stock.
GGB Mountain mufflers are designed to be used in areas where increased sound levels are not an issue. These cans are loud when you open the throttle. Please use accordingly.

GGB Trail Can:

Lightweight muffler with a trail tuned muscle sound. Neighbour friendly and in most applications will meet SAE J2567 stationary test of 88 db, 4 meters away. System fits securely in the original location using stock mounts and is guaranteed to provide performance levels as good as or better than stock.

GGB Advantage
•Always in stock, same day shipping
•Performance Guarantee, 100% Customer Satisfaction
•Increased throttle response
•Tuned muscle exhaust note
•Lightweight Design
•No fuel mods
•Simple install
•Secure fit

Fuel and clutching mods are not necessary prior to installation on any GGB Exhaust muffler. GGB two stroke mufflers are flow benched developed for back pressure against the stock muffler and will perform efficiently in any application where the stock muffler would be used. Both Mountain and Trail models are guaranteed to provide performance levels as good as or better than stock.

If there is anything I can do, please feel free to email me at rob@ggb.ca

Thanks,

I have used both on the same sled.

HPS- Deeper sound, overall sounds quieter. Still loud, but more of a bass note to it. The pipe heat shield may contact the cross brace, I think the fix is to take a flat head and bend the heat shield in a little bit. The HPS seals tight to the belly pan. Excellent build quality.

GGB mountain- Louder, a bit more of a higher pitched crackle sound when its not at full throttle. Does not raise the pipe but does not seal tight on the belly pan. I would get a block of ice by the end of a long day from powder getting pushed in the gap. Excellent build quality; however, it is painted and the paint rubs off.

GGB is cheaper but I think I would go HPS next time.
