Hayes Brakes soft

Has anyone had issues with their brakes not working or barely working? After sitting on its side on a hill and tipping back up my brakes barely worked. I kept pumping and it took a while to get them firm again. It was not great timing I was pretty high up a hill and my downhill options were not great for not having brakes. I would like to make sure it doesn't happen again. Anyone else experience this or know of possible solutions?

Ive seen a few with spongy brakes and bled them during pdi and problem was solved. Dealer may have missed yours. On my own sled my bleed screw was not drilled out to actually bleed the brakes.

My alpha had same thing happen. Isn't it the same brake. Only when rolled over or it was fine until then. Added more brake fluid and it quit. Not enough fluid and then it would get air in it.

I had heard there was a problem with the alphas but I could not find any information on it. It sounds like it is probably what you and the others said and I don't have enough fluid. I'll check and bleed, hopefully that fixes the problem.

Mine is VERY stiff, Brembo like. After 400 miles it still doesn't allow the ebrake to work. ha.

Ive been waiting for this post, i believe its the same master cylinder as the alpha, or close. My alpha didnt have brakes every time i would roll it over, it drove me nuts.

Iv seen 3 matrix, and all 3 were under half full of brake fluid.

let it sit upside down for a few minutes and get back to me. Mine are the same way under normal conditions when I don't need them to be.
I have few goals in life that I try to actualize every day but when I ride, keeping my handlebars from being inverted is one of them. ?

That is why the got rid of carbs and came out with fuel injection.
So the run upside down as good as right side up
