Haulmark skin screw bits????

I'm needing to do some painting on my haulmark and would like to remove the diamond plate first. I can't find the right bit.

Does anybody know an easy source for the outside wall screws.

They look like a torx, but have an eight point instead of six.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Robertson #2

The boys at the factory use a Robertson #2 bit they work perfect.

Those screws are designed for square bits. It's like a 12 point vs 6 point hex only opposite.

yup square head....good luck they can be a bugger to get out. Use some type of an impact screw gun or you'll just strip them!

It's a #2 square bit. You can find it in a cheap security bit set like you'd get from harbor freight. Easy to find. Perfectly square.

Thanks guys, my dad had a 20 pack of #2's sitting four feet from my trailer, was so focused on the torx look I didn't think square.
