fox zero pro revalve or something else

Last spring I had contacted zbroz about purchasing a set of there shocks but I am not sure i want to spend that kind of money. I currently have the fox zero pros and they just dont cut it in certian situations. i also looked at buying some fox floats and getting the evol upgrade but that will cost me as much as the Zbroz setup. I just keep thinking that going with zbroz or evols will be more than i need. i dont go big air and only go to a few local hillclimb/slalom races a year. Other than that its mostly off trail riding.

Can I get my zero pros revalved in a way that i will gain performance out of them or am I better off to spend the extra money and get a set of fox float evols or zbroz.

I won't buy Floats anymore. Once I ran the Exits, I won't buy anything else.... when I can afford it...

What do you mean by "they won't cut it"... 09-10 AC valving sucked, Changed over to 11 valving in two sleds and both rode great. If they are valved wrong they will suck no matter what brand.

The shocks just seem too soft when i get into rough conditions. Maybe I am experiencing shock fade? Its like they get through the first few sets of bumps/moguls Ok but then the sled just wants to bottom out real easy and feals soft. The sled just doesnt absord the bumps very well and seems to throw me around awful. Maybe I am expecting too much out of a zero pro?

were those shocks u had revalved the fox zero pros or the floats because I have zero pros. I think I recall seeing you on another site doing a lot of shock research.

jonmaster...found your thread on acchat. I guess u are running the floats enteresting info in there. I have also been looking at Fett Borthers stage 2 upgrade. They do a full service, revalve and spring. Thinking for $400 its probably worth a try.

I had all my shocks revalved by Andy Youngstrom at http://www.gasshockrepair.com/

It was fairly inexpensive to have both front shocks and both rear shocks properly revalved. With shipping back to me included the price was right around $125 two seasons ago. I doubt it's over $150 now and it makes such a huge difference that it's hard to believe they are the same shocks.

If nothing else, try it and see if the revalving makes enough difference for your application. Andy will ask you what kind of riding you do and I believe he can tailor his revalve specifications to meet your needs.
