ESD recall question

I received my official letter in the mail the other day about this recall.

Is it recommend to run the Polaris Anti Static Fuel treatment all the time? Or just during storage?

Letter looks like Polaris is recommending to use it all the time.

Anytime you cant run Fuel with ethanol in it. My goal is to extract as many bottles of that stuff as i can from polaris, for them being dumb lmao. As far as i know, they will send you it for the lifetime of the sled.

The new fuel requirements say if you run non eth fuel, to still run the treatment.

So it appears poo does recommend to run the treatment all the time. Really I guess it's not that hard to add a few ounces at every fill up. Just another task on top of checking the torque on my clutch for the 9r every few rides.

Small prices to pay for riding a, well...premium sleds. lol

I got the letter in the mail with all the instructions. It's either/or not all. The chart on the back lays it out as well.

Nah, its actually ****ing bullshit, but i wanna cost polaris all the money lol.

Got my letter and I refuse the new
Sticker and run non e, first Polaris is right up there with the KTM BS:)))

Did we ever find out how many modern era snowmobiles have combusted as a result of this problem?

These are the only numbers I could find.
They are from the original recall that covered sleds from 2013 to 2023.
US Consumer Safety Council Nov 17, 2022.

Units:
About 138,000 (In addition, about 61,000 were sold in Canada)

Incidents/Injuries:
The firm has received 30 reports of fuel tank bursting, including 16 incidents of fire and one report of a second-degree burn.

Polaris needs to fix the problem instead having the scape goat you didn't add my anti static treatment BS and that's why your nuts ended up being fuzzy dice hanging in your helmet!

One was at my dealer.

A year old titan 800 after sitting all summer with half a tank of fuel, was delivered and unloaded without starting it.

Sat outside overnight, started it to move it inside for a preseason service. Left idling for a bit.

Big whoomph as the tank exploded and a big flame.

Branch manager heard it all the way inside the showroom and 4 fire extinguishers put it out almost right away.

Polaris had them send the complete sled as is for investigation to roseau.

This was in fall 2018.

Well that confirms it....I'm not buying a Titan.

So this is fixed in MY 25? I would've expected to see the recall updated to add '25 but looks like they addressed it? My dealer didn't mention a single thing about it but I feel like they'd do the same if I bought a holdover '23

I got some stuff on the tank saying use eth. or anti static with my 2025

25 has the same sticker that the recall told us to put on. No difference in their recommendation from what I can see.

I am not going to run the treatment or ethanol fuel in my 23, 24, or 25. Just run the same 91 ethonal free or 100LL. I do not think this recall matters, nothing will happen.
