Engine shut off

I was riding Saturday and everything was going great and the engine on my 08 XP 800 just shut off. None of the fuses are blown. If you try to start it nothing happens, the headlights do not even flicker. Anyone have any ideas, or a direction I can start looking?

pull the rewind off and look and see if anything took out the pick up coils, also check to make sure nothing got unpluged, unplug kill switch and check it,

remove the can next to the starter, look to your left, the wire harness can short out on a rivet on the belly pan, common problem. hope that is your problem.

As said above. There is a wire that wears on a rivet behind the chain case.
