Sled has 180 miles on it, Zero issues. Super deep today 3/4 in ride sled falls on its face. Find the EGT probe out reinstall it and sled is missing. The probe did touch exhaust and burn cable protector but doesn't seem to of melted the actually probe wire. But sled is missing now and not as responsive????

As far as the sensor goes. My dealer told me BRP is sending out something to keep the EGT from backing out. He said they're sending them out in the next week. We'll see. I was ready to tack weld mine on. It's come out twice now. I was happy to hear Ski-Doo has a fix coming.

Mine has fallen out four times now. I've tightened it down until threads were about to strip and it still fell out again....

Interesting that I never saw a check engine light riding with it out.

Safety wire?

Can a small hole be drilled in the hex and add safety wire, like used in the aerospace industry?

If I was having issues, this is the direction I would be going. Nothing to tie it to though. One could also drill through the side of the bung and nut and insert a small roll pin.

Supposedly there is a service bulletin out with a retrofit locking ring, but I have yet to see it. Hopefully that will fix the issue.

Sensor

Dealer said today BRP issued repair part and they were able to order 30 of them so problem should be fixed as soon as parts are in.

Probably the same locking washer that holds the muffler sensor in place. Why they thought to lock the muffler sensor in and not the pipe sensor is beyond me.

I actually used the muffler sensor lock on my pipe sensor. I had installed a Diamond S can and the tab lock for the can sensor wouldn't work with the Diamond S can. So with a drummel tool I cut a flat on the pipe sensor boss and fitted the tab lock on the pipe sensor.

This has worked great for me the past 3-4 hard rides. Just checked tonight still tight.

Where before it was out or finger loose after 2 rides.
