Hi,
This is Jason from Dakota Performance and we are selling several of our project sleds to make room. All of these sleds are our own projects that started out with a specific goal while keeping the sled driveable, reliable, and as easy to own as a stock sled. All of them have made multiple trips to the mountains and are completely dialed in. Our most important goal is to make sure that we can hand the tether to anyone on the mountain and they can simply pull the rope and ride. Just like buying any modified sled there are probably a lot of questions you'd like to ask and we would be more then happy to answer them. Just give us a call our send us an E-mail.

2014 Arctic Cat M8000 Sno Pro Limited 162 Turbo with C3 Belt Drive.
For this sled we wanted to see how much boost we could push while still running 91 octane pump gas. First, we installed an OVS Turbo Kit with a 3071 Comp oil free turbo and a liquid to air intercooler. The intercooler uses methanol that runs through custom built aluminum coolers in the tunnel which then cools the incoming boost charge using an aluminum liquid to air intercooler. This results in much colder and more consistent intake air temperatures (220 degrees F was not uncommon before, now 70 degrees F is the max). Colder air means less detonation which allows more boost. We are now running 13 PSI of boost at high elevation and 11.5 PSI at low elevation. All of this is controlled by a Vi Pec ECU that changes boost pressures, fuel, and ignition timing based on elevation, temperatures, and barometric pressure. The maps are completely dialed in and no tuning is required by the rider for changing conditions. We also installed C3's belt drive kit which reduces weight and driveline inertia. It also comes with stiffer engine mounts which keep the clutches aligned under high torque applications.
Other upgrades:
Cold Air Intake
OVS Wheelie Stops
Cut Secondary Clutch
Machined Head
This is a beautiful sled with low miles. It was built all at once by the Dakota Performance crew which means that the whole sled came apart and all of the modifications from various manufactures were installed at one time. Any interference that usually occurs from building a highly modified sled like this was addressed and remedied. Pictures don't do the quality of craftsmanship on this sled justice.

2009 Arctic Cat M8 Sno Pro W/ Turbo
This sled was a test bed for all kinds of ideas from 2009 to 2011. The overall goal was to see where the limits are of a stock 800 motor with a turbo while sparing no expense. It has all kinds of trick little detailed modifications made to it and it was Jeff's personal sled of choice for many years. We started with a stock M8 chassis and then moved the rear suspension mounts to lower the sled and keep it from trenching. Sly Dog Powder Hound skis, a Challenger 2.5 inch track, and a Diamond S mesh hood round out the modifications to the chassis. The motor is a H.O. unit from a 2010 M8 that is completely stock. It has an OVS race gas turbo kit with an air to air intercooler, 2 secondary injectors, an OVS turbo Mod Pipe, and an upgraded fuel and electrical system. Jeff runs this set up at 14 PSI but it can easily be turned up higher. All of this is being controlled by a stock 2010 ECU with the 2011 update and a Power Commander V with a Secondary Fuel Module. Some of the components in this sled may seem out dated but don't be fooled. This sled makes an obscene amount of power and runs great with very little rider involvement as far as changing the tuning/clutching.

2012 Arctic Cat M8 162 Sno Pro W/ Dakota Performance 920 Big Bore and Vi Pec ECU.
This sled started as a project to see if we could make 200 horsepower in a naturally aspirated sled that only needs 91 octane fuel. We started with a stock Arctic Cat M8 Sno Pro and set about cutting and modifying the chassis to fix the problems that the first year of the Proclimb chassis is known for. Among other things we changed the tie-rod position for better turning, moved the skid mounts down and back both front and rear, and swapped out the 40 inch a-arms for a set of 38's. Next we installed 7 tooth drivers and a 3" Camoplast Challenger Extreme track to really make this thing climb. To keep the sled from trenching and to get it on top of the snow faster a set of OVS wheelie stops were added to the rear suspension. To reach the 200 horsepower mark we put in a Dakota Performance 920 Big Bore Kit that comes with BDX 50mm throttle bodies, a D&D Y-pipe, and a Vi Pec ECU. With a stock pipe and a stock can it made 206 horsepower and 137 lb-ft of torque on the engine dyno at Precision EFI while running 91 octane pump gas. Of course nobody wants to use the heavy stock exhaust so we installed a full SLP ceramic coated exhaust that shaved 18 pounds off but did lose 1 horsepower at Peak RPM's. I've ridden all these sleds. They all work good, but that 09 sled is just stupid fast. Just give Jeff a call for pricing. All depends if you have a trade or straight out I'm sure.
