Am looking to build a cool custom 120 for my son and was curious if it's possible to cut down a snowmobile engine to one cylinder and mount it in a custom 120 chassis any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

If you have to ask if it's even possible, it's probably above your capabilities.

It should be possible, but would be a ton of custom work that would not be remotely worth it. Starting with an air cooled engine would be a big advantage tho.

Coupe of options that would work without spending big bucks to custom cut a motor. One would be the single cylinder Yamaha fan cooled 250 used in the Enticer and Bravo. Second would be the liquid cooled single cylinder used in the Yamaha Inviter built in the late 80's. Both are oil injected. The fan 250 should be easy to find and are bullet proof. The liquid Inviter motor may be tougher to find.
