BUT !....Recognize the Avalanche Risk WILL ELEVATE !!

To Reduce Your Risk , Ride away from well defined Avalanche Paths , and be VERY Cautious , in Steep Terrain , including Below Tree Glades !

Obvious Signs of instabilities , Such as Shooting Cracks , whumpfing Sounds and recent Avalanches , should have You thinking about making a move to Low Angle Terrain.

AVALANCHE ACTIVITY....

People Triggering Avalanches will remain Prime Concern Thursday and Friday,

If the Storm arrives as forecast , Expect a Cycle of Natural Avalanches continuing through Thursday!

AVALANCHES will likely iniate on North and East Facing Slopes in the Alpine , and Steep Treeline Terrain , due to loading by Wind Transported Snow.

They will likely run on the January 26 weak layer.

The Forecast is for " ANOTHER " 30cms. BY FRIDAY ! WE WILL TAKE IT !! Yahoooo

I can see that Blue River WILL be seeing 20 + Feet of Snow in Town this Year No Problem !!

I will keep You ALL Posted if The Avalanche Center puts out a Special Avalanche Bullitin !

Blue River has been Getting Hit with ALOT of Fresh Snow !! and it is STILL Snowing !!

The Guy's at the HOLY SMOKE INN went to a " HAWWIIAN " Party in TOWN...

A GREAT Time was had by ALL.... Skier's and Sledder.....They have story's....LOL..

They are calling for another 30cms. for Blur River ...WE will take it !!

We have had Over 16 Feet of Snow " IN TOWN " .....

The Boy's are saying ..." It is Up to My Chest !!! ( He is 6' )

hi, i'll be heading down this weekend, i've rode Valemount lots, wanting to try Blue River, what would be best to get some directions to a riding area? stop by in the morning or evening? phone ? let me know, i might leave tommorow night, or worst case friday aft, thanks in advance. oh and how to find your place. i know it cant be that hard...

The Toughest part may be maintaining an awareness of the present situation while resisting the " LURE " of Sunny Sky's and Fresh POWDER !

Clues ....such as Rrecent Avalanches , whumping and Shooting Cracks suggest that triggering Slab Avalanches , even from a good distance away on low-angle Terrain , is Probable !

Safe travel will also depend on exercising extra Caution such as riding Slopes One at a time and Spotting from a SAFE Location.

If the decision is made to travel into the Alpine and Open Treeline Area , be " WARY " of wind Slabs on the Northeaset through the Northwest side of the Ridge Crests and Terrain Features !

Blue River has still got 8feet High Snowbanks in Town !

POW-WOW ( Robin ) was Sledding a a Foot of Powder on Sunday !

The Two New Areas are ABSOULUTLY PHENOMENAL !!

The Walmart Boys sure had a GREAT Time out here !! ( You all know who they are right ??? )

These are some pretty Awesome Riders for ....Walmart Boys......LOL....

Are the new areas, holy grail and pucker steep, hilly and is it tracked. How do I get there. I'm Going on the 26th. Debating between Renshaw, valemount or blue river.
