Bent Gusset 2008 sno pro 600

Holy cow do not hit anything with your sno pro 500 or 600. Changing the gusset is horrible. I was riding up at Rabbit Ears this past weekend, and hit a hidden rock or stump (didn't have a chance to check because it flipped me off and then i was left chasing my sled down a hill). I was going 10 mph max.

Left ski is pushed back a good 4-5 inches compared to the right ski tip. left spindle is more vertical instead of slanting backwards. A-arms look good. Saw a good arch in the top plate of the gusset. Tried using a port-a-power but only changed it but about a half inch. So I have one on order, hope it comes in soon!

You have to pull the whole motor, belly pan, nose cone, a arms, etc. Here are some pictures. The picture of the gusset is AFTER I straightened it as much as I could, it is still hooked pretty good. Easier to bend then straighten.

Ouch that sucks, i see you have belt drive instead of chain. I was wondering where you got it made up. I'm looking to do that on my firecat chassis.

belt drive

Ya it does have the belt drive, I like it alot. Seems to be very efficient, unbreakable, and reliable, but very expensive. WSM makes the belt drive. Western Snowmobile and Marine (performance), or otherwise known as Swenson Machine. The guy doesn't have a website or email address, but he sells a lot of them. Give him a call (208) 454-3416 and see what he can do for you. I don't know if I could justify putting it on a sled because of the cost, but sure beats the diamond drive system for sure. And it is really easy to adjust tension and I don't think the belt will ever break.
