Arctic cat head bolts

The cat shop manual says never to reuse the same head bolt they must be replaced every time you remove the head. Anyone have any experience with this? At over four bucks a bolt for twelve bolts thats a chuck of change.:confused:

i have remove the head on the 900 cat so many times i should have a nascar crew working on them.
never had a problem one, but now and then need new O rings.

You will be fine to re use them. Make sure the o rings are good and the are not crossed or stretched.

You can't tell me your going to stretch a head bolt at 22' Lbs, reuse them.

You have to remember that engineers help write the manuals. I think every engine made has the same recomendation. Reuse them and put the proper torque on them. On older engines that show corrosion or stress on the bolts, replace.
