The Arctic Cat® 2022 youth lineup consists of two snowmobiles designed for kids to enjoy the riding experience. The ZR® 120 is perfect for young, first-time riders, while the ZR® 200 is trail-certified so youth riders can ride the trails with their parents.
For 2023, both sleds are available with a black hood and new graphics.
The 2023 Arctic Cat ZR 120 is built to deliver a fun, safe experience that fuels the passion for the sport. Powered by an easy-to-start, quiet, fan-cooled, 123cc Yamaha 4-stroke engine that’s speed-governed to 8 mph, the ZR 120 inspires confidence in the young rider, and the removable key keeps parents in control of the fun.
The sled has many of the same features as its full-sized counterparts, including heated handgrips, in-seat storage, an A-arm front suspension and slide-rail rear suspension — each with 4.5 inches of travel — so kids feel as if they are riding the same sled as their parents.
Kids are ever-changing and the ZR 120 grows with them. The sled offers an adjustable 29.5-inch to 31.5-inch ski stance with deep-keel plastic skis for enhanced cornering and control, while a 10-inch x 67-inch Cobra™ track with 0.75-inch lugs delivers ample traction. The shock/spring preload is also adjustable with the twist of a knob so the suspension can be adjusted as the rider grows.
Safety features include always-on headlights and taillight, an orange safety flag for increased visibility and a tether switch. Full front and rear bumpers and a stout aluminum chassis construction translates into a durable snowmobile that retains resale value. The 2023 ZR 120 is available in green with a black hood and new graphics.
The high-performance 2023 Arctic Cat ZR 200 is built for adventurous young riders who want to ride with their parents, tackle deep snow or cruise the backyard. Equipped with an electric start, the ZR 200 also meets all SSCC certification requirements for an adult snowmobile, making it legal to ride on public trails and extremely versatile for the entire family.
The ZR 200 is designed for transitional riders who have grown beyond the 120-class machines. Compared to 120-class machines, the ZR 200 features a longer track and tunnel and a larger 2.2-gallon fuel tank, plus a higher seat and handlebar to accommodate taller youth riders. The sled also offers five front and rear spring adjustment settings.
Built with many of the same features found on full-sized Arctic Cat snowmobiles, the ZR 200 features an A-arm front suspension with 4.5 inches of travel and slide-rail rear suspension with 8.5 inches of travel, each controlled by hydraulic shocks and ready to handle the bumps. With an adjustable 29.5- to 31.5-inch ski stance and deep-keel plastic skis, the ZR 200 offers enhanced cornering and control, while a 10-inch x 93-inch Cobra track with 1-inch lugs delivers great traction and flotation in a full range of conditions.
A 192cc fan-cooled, single-cylinder Yamaha 4-stroke engine delivers nine horsepower of fun. It’s matched by a traditional CVT drive system featuring an RPM-sensing drive clutch, torque-sensing driven clutch, and belt-drive gearcase for optimal power delivery and performance in all snow conditions. A hydraulic brake disc delivers enhanced braking performance.
The ZR 200 can be customized with a full range of Arctic Cat accessories, including graphics packages, different windshields, hand guards, running board grips, storage bags and more. For 2023, the sled is available in Green with a black hood and new graphics package. An accessory kit is also available including handguards, rear storage and a 10-inch-high windshield. To accommodate rider growth, Arctic Cat also offers a heavy-duty spring kit.
The ZR 120 is recommended for kids at least six years old, and the ZR 200 for kids 13 years and older.
