ARC? Is it still a thing?

I have been looking at the used sled market. I found one that has the Skinz cable ARC. Is this still a thing that works or was it just a fad? The sled is a 155. I ride mostly deep stuff when I ride. I am currently on a NA 155. I am stepping up to a turbo whatever I do. Should I hold off for a 163? Will a 155 with ARC work well enough? Maybe I should just turbo my 155 and get a 163 under it in another year?
