Has anybody heard of trailers made by Classic Mfg.? I looked them up and their website is under construction. I am looking at a used all aluminum trailer and it looks to be of good quality but would like to hear from somebody who has one. Thanks.

I think they went out of business a few years ago. I spent the past few months researching trailers as well and if I remember correctly, the original owners of Classic were bought out by investors who then ended up closing down. The original owners maintained ownership of the facility and are now producing trailers under the Neo name. www.neotrailers.com.

From what I have read, the Classic Mfg trailers seem to be pretty highly regarded.

will be interesting to see where they are on price ect.....

just from looking at the website they look to be nice trailers, but im not sure i like the plywood base floor in a sled trailer

Had a Classic bumper pull horse trailer a few years back. It did have a Rumber floor in it that I liked. One thing they did was make the tongue out of aluminum. It bent. They did warranty it, but I had to drive all the way to Nampa, ID (or there abouts). There factory was out in the middle of a bunch of onion fields in a barn. I also heard they went out of business when the economy tanked along with quite a few other trailer mfg's.

Stick with solid names that have been around & will be around.
A warranty is worthless if the company is gone.

Classic

This will be my 12th year pulling the same Classic full aluminium trailer. 4 place V-nose 24'. I live in lower michigan and pull to the U.P. 8-10 times per year as well as running around the lower. It has been to Hay Days 3 times and numerous other out of state hunting adventures - still on original tires!!! This is 1 of 4 Classics that our family has been pulling for some time, in the hot rod circuit, classic trailers are as highly regarded as Feather lites, just a different style. I paid 8k for mine in 2000 and am sure I could resale for a solid 5k 12 years later, it has just held up that well - stored inside year around tho...........

JMO but Featherlites are in a class of their own. Classic isn't even close. Look at the small stuff like the quality of wiring and the welds and you'll see the difference.
