I use a 99 600 xc engine in my mini buggy. It has been a great motor till it through a rod bearing earlier this year. I would like to get the crank rebuilt but i am what all is intailed in making this engine a 700? Can I just put new rods in and get new jugs and a head?

I believe the 600 and 700 shared the same bottom end. So you would need cylinders, pistons, head, CDI and maybe stator. You might be better off looking for a used 700.

600 to a 700

I am in the middle of doing the same thing on 2000 600 rmk. As long as the 600 is a big block it should work. The crank and the rods are the same. New jugs, head, and pistons and cdi the par number for the cdi is 2201163 the stator assembly is the same part number 600 and 700. So you should be good to go .
