1984 Phazer Aftermarket Struts Need Help with Identification

I just bought these shocks on e-bay and need help identifying them. There is no brand name on the shock other than the word "Bunting 1620 10" stamped into the gold portion. As you can see, the top of the shock has a shrader valve so this appears to be a rechargeable strut/ shock. Any info on the manufacturer or specs of these struts would be helpful. Thanks

I believe They are for the tss. the guy i got them from removed the struts from an 84 phazer. Also the bushing on the top fits perfectly into the top cover and the strut spring length & width is the same as the stock strut/ spring combo. The only difference i can find is the shrader valve threads are not the same as the stock strut threads- I will just get a new nut and lock nut.

I took the spring off the struts as you can see below. I still couldn't find any brand markings. the gold part is a spacer bushing to get the correct length i guess. On the bottom of the strut cartridge there is a c-clip, (hard to see), so these struts do appear to be rebuildable- which is what i would like to get done.
The only strut / spring setup ive seen came on the early 80's Phazer SX. these had the spring mounted onto the strut also- but in looking at the diagram of the SX strut- its a different setup. I dont think this is a OEM SX strut.

As I remember I bought them from Jack Struthers at Carl's Cycle in Boise. Jack is one of the most respected suspension experts around. As a Polaris guy, he was helping the Yammi crowd with these. History lesson over!

Thanks for the Info H2o! These shocks have a carls cycle sales sticker on them so that makes sense! Did you ever get the shocks rebuilt or change the springs on them? i would like to try to find different springs for the shocks. Thanks again

Yup talked to Jack Struthers. I described the struts to him. Carls Cycle sales actually made these struts using a fox cartridge! Jack said the red shaft was the first year they were made and they have the seal kits available for rebuilding. He is going to look around to see if they have any springs left as these came in a standard and heavy model. Thanks again H2O.
