‘11 M Seat on an ‘07

Years ago I put a new M seat on my ‘08 M800 and loved the upgrade. So I decided to do the same to my daughters 07 M6 so I bought a used seat from an ‘11. My question is I forget exactly how it mounted back then. I remember it being quite easy but this one does not. Is there a conversion kit I need to buy?

Doesnt it bolt on to the same bolts that hold the fuel tank on?? Its been a while for me too but I think that's how the went on

take the 2 bolts and washers on the back of the tank off, put on seat and if the bolts are not quite long enough have someone sit on it this will give you what you need to get the bolts started.
