Hi I have a 2002 summit 800 sport with horrible fuel mileage and rich running issues. Most of the riding I do is the 5000'-8000' foot range and boondocking is typically how I ride. So I wanted to rejet it and started my research and came across the "hooded" and "non-hooded" issues with the 02's. So I was thinking it is probably easiest to get newer carbs for it instead of trying to rejet the originals. What carbs will work for an 02 summit? I'd like to keep my DPM and the only mod it has is a can. I found some carbs for an 03 MXZ, but are they the same and should I replace the DPM module too? Is there any other carbs that fit that or will work better and will they work with my DPM? Thanks for any help.
