the black is a 2012, the white is a 2012, and the silver is may be an assault, but it has a silver front bumper so unless its a mod its a 2012 something with a possible new motor with the gauges to monitor it.

The silver one is a silver RMK 155 rather than red/blk. Not sure if the bumper comes that way stock. Maybe they bashed it in and put on one that hadn't been powder coated yet :face-icon-small-con

Saw the same guys/sleds in the Snowies. They were the polaris factory rmk test riders. They said they started in washington and were making there trip across the mountains testing in different conditions, etc. Nice guys, they worked on my D8 for awhile.

Look at the stickers.....
The white one starts with 12 and also has the "expiremental" sticker. The black and red one starts with 11.

The white one also starts with a "D" (D12-601). Maybe that means Direct injected! Ha! I love rumors!

Why white? Or red? Man, the 2010 blue is gorgeous, let's see that again. I'd love to see a Pro RMK 600 ES with a 144 track for the wife - Her 08 D7 has too much compression for her to pull start it - way harder than a Cat -

silver has the red assault decal

It also has the Std RMK's piviot riser and standerd handlebars with the multifunction switch and brake compbo... no Pro taper.

These are "Test Mules"... It does not really make sense to speculate on 12 releases based on test mules that may or may not .

Heck... they could be testing a new motor in an IQ chassis to keep it stealth.

Bumpers, paint, handlebars, running boards and a long list of things is something that may or may not make it to the 12's.

The "BIG" news was out in 2011.... this year is refinement of an already stellar design with other power options.

just talked to a dealer. looks like a rush pro with a 136". a 600 rmk in the new pro ride chassis with a claimed 135+ HP and motor changes to the 800. but would not disclose what the third early release sled was. but stated there would not be direct injection...:face-icon-small-fro

Why motor changes to the 800 already? What neccessitates that?

I don't understand this big fixation with D.I....

It adds weight, complexity and cost to the sled.

Sure... I understand the advantages that D.I. can offer but is that really needed?

You will need special tools to work on it and modding/turbo'ing will be a huge challenge... Modding does not interest Polaris (or GE who carries the paper on this stuff).

On the Doos... the 800's were carbed and BRP owend the E-Tec design already in their Evinrude division... made sense.

I doubt that you would see a closed-loop control system and would most likely be a speed/density setup as in the CFi or E-Tec.

On the Polaris with the Kokusan Denki CFi system... I don't see, other than EPA concerns, what the practical advantage, for the consumer, would be with direct injection for the time-being??

Polaris already had a DI setup on the Watercraft triples... so it is not a new thing to them.

Another 10-15hp would just put it that much further ahead of the compitition, just as long as they keep it reliable :face-icon-small-con
If Polaris can get 135HP out of the 600 they should be able to get more then 146hp out of the 800.

a 135 hp 600 would be sweet. and a 800 increase would be awesome.

my guesses for the 3 were gonna be
rush pro 136
600 pro-ride 144
600 pro-ride 155

HE claimed new top end. Never really said much about horse power gains but we could all hope. Was going in to buy a 2011 assult in orange but it was sold. So figures I would see if I could get the skinny on the 2012's
