I took my mod out for a little spin to test it out last night and the engine light flashed at me! I then crept it back to the shop and shut it down. About 5 min later I went back out and tried to start it and nothing! The rope, which is usually about as hard to pull as you can imagine, pulled with one hand. Got the head off today and the head and pistons look good. Anybody got any ideas whats going on?? Help!!!

btw.... this is an 08 summit xp 800 race shop mod

I'd guess broken rings. Usually you will streak down the cylinder wall by the exhaust ports.

Turn it over by hand, check and see if connecting rod hasnt broken. Maybe a broken ring, blown crank seal, base gaskets, etc, there has to be something FUBAR'd in there.

walls?

the head, walls, and crowns all look good? how easy does it pull? the recoil was spinning the crankshaft right?
