I just brought my new '16 M8000 home and I'm new to the Team clutching. Made a rookie mistake and didn't mark the sheaves on the secondary before I pulled them apart. Is it as crucial to keep them aligned as it was on the old Cat secondaries?

Look at the deflection screw mark on the inside of the inner chiv and align it with the outer chiv and put a marker line on the clutch halfs so you can make the alignment on shaft match

Dumb question but should the deflection screw line up with the DL stamp on the inner sheave?

I did the same thing when I got mine.

You should be able to see on the inner sheave where the 'slide' plates are, based on where the gouge starts.
