photo editing question..

can someone tell me how they make a black and white photo but, have 1 color still in it? example: ive seen pics of sleds on here that were black and white but, just the hood was in color..

i downloaded photoscape but, cant seem to figure it out..

anyone?

I use photoshop....you do it using a black and white mask, then "erasing" the tones that you want to be color. Google tutorials on photoscape, I have never used the program so it may be different!?! Good luck!
Gimp is also another free photo editing software, that lets you work in layers..much like photoshop in order to get the effect you want.

Go to the image submenu and change the image to either a grey scale or black and white image.
