How do I tell which skid I have,136. or 144? Did they make a 144 in 1990 sks model. I bought another skid x-10 out of a 2000 and the guy said it was a 144.It is shorter than my original .

The 90 SKS was probably a 133 at most. The 136 didn't come out till later in the 1990's. What model/year sled did the skid you bought come off of? It sounds like the seller might have said it was a long-track skid when really it is an Xtra-10 121 skid. If it is indeed a 121, you could always buy rail extensions or try to get your money back. Without a visual of the skid I am not much help.

I counted the windows in the track there is 56 of them I measured the skid that came out of the 1990 sks and it is 59'' and the skid I bought is 57'' both measured off floor to end of rails at the rear. I bought it from a guy in MN so the chances of getting my money back is nill to none. He assured me it was a 144 but had no pics.I wonder if I could just change rails it is a coupled skid not a rmk like he said also.

thanks

At 56 windows on a 2.52" pitch, that shows as a 141" track. Not a bad option, but could cause issues trying to fit a suspension in it.

You might find a track number on it and match it up with one on a site like TracksUSA to find out what it actually is.

Your SKS would be a 133. The 136 didnt come out until 97 ond only on the 700 that year.

You could use 136-144 extensions on your 133 SKS rails to fit the 141. (144-136=8 inches track extension, 4 " axle extension). 141-133= 8 inches

This is what I will do when I have enough $$$ to fit a 141x2 track I have to my 600 XLT.

Polaris did offer the 141 in the Sport GT back in the early 90's with the dial adjust XC-100 suspension. I also know some folks who bought the 141's and swapped out their 133.5s but most of them were never really happy with the way they worked. No paddle tracks back in those days.
