2003 Summit 800HO

I'm shopping around for a used '03 800HO Summit. Many of them have new or rebuilt engines. Did that model have heating problems which caused engine failure and if so what were the fixes? My 2000 700 summit still has the original engine and it's fine.

I have an 03 summit 800 HO and haven't had a seconds problem! Thats the year they changed over to a rev chasis the second half of the year! and i have heard they had some issues with those, mine is the older style.which one are you looking for? I also wraped the hood in lastic and stored it and put on a mesh hood with lots of cooling. maybe that helped! I really don't know! I have been toying with the idea of selling mine because i just bought a new 800XP X 163 so i really don't need it any more.
