LOL. Be careful, it gets additcting. And if you play with water enough, you will get wet! Usually because it gets too easy and you either get complacent, or cocky! Either one will get you in trouble quickly. Must be nice to have some snow:mad:

I watched a buddy of mine sink a sled at WOT. Hahaha...at least it wasn't a good sled. Right after it sucked water I heard a real loud TINK. Then we winched it out and the crank case was all shattered. Just kill it as soon as you *know* your not gonna make it. If you still gotta chance you think, take it cuz you only got one chance.

I was doing survey work in the Northwest territories a few years ago and watercrossing is pretty much the official sport up there... I was working out of Inuvik and the Mackenzie river runs right in front of the town and every night there would a 10-30 sleds ripping open water once parts of the river opened up. Now watercrossing with a decent track is one thing but you wouldn't believe the stuff they would water cross... saw 2 kids probably about 8 to 10 years old riding an old 70's Elan 250 double back and worth across an open stretch of water probably about 200 yards long. Freezing cold water, massive current and never saw a single helmet on anyone the entire time I was there... Gotta love the Arctic!

Ive yet to try... Hows it work on a ported track? Ported 2, 1-1/4" holes on ONE side of each lug...

I dont think a ported track matters. It's all about trackspeed. I guess you could go really slow into the water and see if it sinks faster than an unported track?

Ported tracks go down like a rock!!! I mean you can cross a creek or small river, but it gets sketchy quick. Same sled without a ported track can run til you run it out of gas, but ported, after a couple hundred yrds you are looking for land!
