Just yesterday alone, we hear of 3 avalanches with 2 of them causing fatalities.....

Please be safe and use some common sense while out riding...

The snow is very unstable right now through much of the NW, and avy conditions are extremely high.... Check your local avy reports.....

definitely couldnt stress and agree with this more... Even with many of the current reports stating only "moderate" we have witnessed several small natural and one large slide in the past two days. For those riding in Cooke I definitely wouldnt recommend venturing into Sheep Creek at the moment. The sun is out and its tempting but we saw a large slide down at the entrance to the area just 2 days ago. It ran out into and filled up a gully with snow and full grown trees it took with it.

Good point LSB, beyond checking your local avy forcast, you also need to check actual conditions on the hill.... You never know...
