hanging out in a tree well at the top.
so what you all are saying is. the 2011 pro rmk is more comparable to the 2008

xp in weight and is still under powered.

hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

same wieght,more power,no top end rebiuld,no clutching issues,better handling

better track,no shock issues,,1 reflash not 4,no burning down of pistons,no top

end recall.theres more but im tired.

5 brand new dragons showed up.

3 got towed out

4 had shock issues,1 within 20 mins on the trail straight from clems and got the run around all season.

people in the group were saying to them you got the best sled.

thats what i said every time i turned around and had a poo attached to a

rope.like a tree from my mirror.

I agree.. especially after hearing Polaris has spent a TON of money in R&D to fix the problems for motors in the new PRO. They cannot afford to make that mistake again. If they have.... great... They may very well be back on track to the glory days of the XLT and 700's. It will only make Doo and Cat dig deeper, which we all will benefit from IMO.

Agreed! Those were the last Polaris' I've run.

FWIW my brothers 07 700 dragon 140 hp (est) 2800 miles SLP pipe and camo ext. track beats most xp sleds in the steep and deep.
Now we are talking DEEP FRESH SNOW. No flat lander race or race up the hill in one foot of powder.

My buddy has a stock D7 155 I ride all the time. In any kind of snow condition up to 4ft deep it could never keep up with any 800 in our group on its best day. 2010 M8 162, 2009 M8 153, 2009 XP 146, 2008 XP 154, 2009 Dragon 800 155. We turbo'd it though last month (OVS) so now it pulls past them all! :face-icon-small-ton

So what were the older Dragon 800s for hp?

What was the carbed XP?

What was the 2010 Cat 800?

I've heard like 155 hp on the XP and 157 hp on the M Cats but are those dynotech #s?

On the 800 Dragon, STOCK except for PC-5, & no t'stat, DYNOTECH JIM= 157 h.p.

Doesn't look like much of a slouch to me,its already beating 160hp cats in a straight line.

I love racing videos like this! all blurry, camera is shaking a ton, can't even tell what the sleds are in it, witness standing 100 yards away, title is miss labeled, not even comparable sleds, pulling on the handlebars to make the sled faster... well at least there was snow on the ground.

o ya, image if that Polaris had 160hp .... it would fell like 200hp.

2011 Summit X 154 800 Etec 454 lbs 155 hp = 2.929 lbs/hp
2011 Pro RMK 155 431 lbs 148 hp = 2.912 lbs/hp

Not going for either side but if your going to put up a comparison like that you have to use the ethanol gas number because there isn't a fancy switch on the summit.

2011 Summit X 154 800 Etec 454 lbs 155 hp = 2.929 lbs/hp
2011 Pro RMK 155 431 lbs 143 hp = 3.013 lbs/hp

A buddy of mine in Utah said his brothers pro-rmk beat his 2010 XP by 2 lengths across a field last week. They rode some forest trail somewhere in Northern Utah I think but could have been CO (cant remember)? I have rode with his Xp and it is all stock with only a can. I was not there so this is not first hand, only what my buddy who owns the XP told me.. I cant wait to see the real world results this winter. There will be a 2011 Pro-assault and a 2011 E-tec in our pack. There is a HCR M8 also form 2010 so it should be a fun battle

Seems nobody has anything to say about this. And someone posted a video of the probeating a e-tech. Huh?

Some diehard red poo boyz are in denial now, and you can bet, if it was 0.1 more than an etec, they'd be crowing. There's a reason poo would not release hp numbers in 2011, they knew, and they have (at least) one last chance to build a RMK 800 that doesn't grenade or require massive service bulletins. Being undertuned should not be a surprise for anyone who bought one. No poo buyer with a real brain should be complaining that they couldn't see this coming.

The Pro Poo has two things going for it - chassis potential, great for some, but still needs a full season, and there will be many aftermarket blower options for it. These #'s gives the AM even more motivation to offer more turbo options. If you like experimenting with new chassis potential, and want to turbo, it will be a great platform. Reason why I bought one, and still have a mod summit for backup. If AC puts out a new chassis with their current 800ho, or a DI 800 that can easily be turbo'ed, it's gonna be crazy. So many great options out there.

The official Grass Drags in New Hampshire last month, RUSH 800 spanked the entire fleet of other 800's, clear pics available.

I see on Dynotech website they had to use 93 octane fuel and a leaner ethanol resistor to get 146.7HP...so real world numbers will prolly be at the 143 mark using 91 octane we have available in the west.

For the average rider out west..91 is what's widely available.

It doesn't really work that way. Lower octane produces more power if you can not detonate.

In the mountains, 93 octane is not available because it is not needed. So testing where Dynotech does, they need the extra octane to prevent detonation.
The 93 numbers are closer to real world.

Interesting the POO guys think the new rmk is all that... Seems to me it's a dead copy of the XP.. I'm sure the new chassis will work fine. Kind of like the XP.. But with less power..

What makes them alike? They both have a tunnel?

Have you seen them both without plastic or a motor?

They look nothing alike. When you see the chassis in naked form you will see how different they are.

The XP is much more forward. All early testing has the XP trying to keep up with the Pro. Why is that?

Can you go and buy and E-tec right now? Nope... even guys that snowchecked an E-tech won't get one (some of them). Sad
