I've been wondering for awhile now and just need some advice on what you guys would do.
I have a 2000 RMK 800 136" (4200 miles) sitting in the garage, Boss seat (needs redone), SLP Pipe and Can (taken off but still have). I took everything out of the engine bay but the engine and coolant system, the track and Xtra-Lite are sitting in front of the sled.
I cant decide whether to.....
A. Tear rest of sled down and Powdercoat the tunnel with a 151" extension, 151" Iceage Rails with 8" wheels, 154"x16" Maverick, SLP Powder Pros, Boost Bottle, Re-do the Boss seat i have, lots of various other small parts and powdercoating. For a total of $3000 not including the sled (steal for $1000:)
OR
B. Buy a 2006 Arctic Cat M7 153" EFI for $4250 OBO (1800 miles)
C. Buy a Ski-Doo Summit 800R 151" for $4800 OBO (2300 miles)
D. Buy a Arctic Cat King Cat 900 162" for $4500 OBO (2500 miles)
Now, if I do the RMK then ill have a sled that is how i want it, but is old and out dated. The other sleds are newer and i like the way the Narrower Taller sleds handle (im 5'10" and 165#). My friends have Rev, Nytro and one is snowchecking a Pro 155" this spring and i want to keep up with them. I had this sled a couple winters ago and put a 151" on it and it was great, but sold it due to school. I know eventually ill put that $3000 (if not more) into the newer sled.
Im just looking for advice. If you had a $4500 budget (after you sold the RMK) or $3000 (if you keep the RMK).
