How loose should or can the retaining ring in front of the lower sprocket be? I used a pair of flat screwdrivers to remove it. Could I have bent it open a bit? I'm not sure how tight or loose is normal.
In the picture I pushed the right end OUT as far as possible. It almost clears the teeth of the shaft. Ok or too loose?
