Is it pointless to install a HD bumper when its bolted in with 2 x 8mm bolts to a very small weak *** tab?
I'm just gonna leave the original bumper?!
Looks like the pipe is the real bumper!


If the pipe was moved to the right a little bit you could reinforce the bumper to the upper control arm bolt

I agree, upgraded bumpers won't help much. Unfortunately it looks like they followed Polaris on this and have similar weak mounts. Bumpers are almost cosmetic anymore.

The HD bumper is not even bolted into the tab with the two 8mm bolts like stock. It's actually very well reinforced. There was a thread (Gen 4 section) a few days ago that talks about it in depth.

If you get the Heavy duty bumper you need to also get a titanium can to come out about even for weight they are that HEAVY duty

Just installed the bumper, its way stronger! Very nice fit and finish!
Make sure the skid plate goes in before bumper install. I did both at same time.
You would have to remove the HD bumper to install the skid plate!

Good news! Looks like the lower control arms can be replaced without removing the skid plate now!
I would rather remove the exhaust than the skid plate!
