Doo or Poo?...

Trucks go from east to west you will have your sled well before the snow fly's ... October many dealers will have them unless the truckers union goes on strike.

DPG

I spoke with 2 BRP reps and had my dealer ask another while on the phone regarding our orders. They were saying the same thing Norona is and I'm inclined to believe them based on the fact that they work directly with BRP.

Thanks for helping me make my decision Norona, I've been following your information and pictures where I can.

I'm sure all the 2017 mountain sleds will be great, it wasn't that many years ago that we couldn't even dream about having snowmobiles like these (any of them). Fill it up with gas/oil and enjoy what you've got or are waiting for everyone!

It's going to be a long summer...

Edit: I'm a younger rider but living in the Yukon I've been exposed to all types of recreational machines from a very young age. I'm also fortunate enough to have had a family that has taken me into the mountains with snowmobiles from a very young age.

Yeap your pretty lucky buddy!! Thank your parents, this is what life's all about

I've had seat time on the Axys and the new 850 Doo.

I am a Doo guy and after spending 3 straight days on a Poo last month and then riding the 850 Doo right after, I realized how good the Axys handles in comparison to the 850.

The low end grunt of the Axys and the lightweight chassis makes it shine for technical riding.

The torque of the 850 is incredible and the improvements over my XM are all very nice!

That being said, I snowchecked a 850 Doo for 17 mainly due to the longevity and reliability of the ETEC engine. Even my buds 2016 Axys had all kinds of Electrical problems this year which deterred me from Polaris.

2017 is going to be a fun year no matter what you guys choose!

So you think in the trees riding the technical lines, the poo outshines the doo? I could care less who wins in a race up a hill in a straight line. I'm liking the idea of the doo for reliability and the bigger engine. I just wonder if I hop off my pro, could I ride the same super technical crap that I love on the doo? Does anybody that isn't crazy byast have enough seat time to tell me that?

The video norona posted interviews 2 and 3 are of myself and business partner at ridecascade.com, we spent a demo day on the sled as well as a few days privately on 850. I own a axys on boost and love it. I really liked the doo and its improvements. Stock sleds off showroom floor are not the real sled. One thing doo needs asap is lower bars and suspension improvements. With that being said I ordered a 165 850. Going to run full exit shocks tki belt drive bm fab boards and possibly silber pump gas set up. My axys stock vs stock will get crushed by the doo unless it's technical tree bashing, with a few tweeks not sure it would b a coin toss. One things for sure the power of the doo is mean !

Yes, I do think the Poo outshines the Doo in technical lines. However, it is really whatever you get used to. I am a Doo guy and have been for a VERY long time and I can put my XM in any place that my buds on their Poos go. It is just easier on the Poo.

As mentioned, I still spring ordered a Doo just because I like the reliability of the ETEC engine but also because the new Gen 4 does handle much better than my XM.

What you are going to love about the Gen 4 is the power! Oh the power! :)

Last January after I sold my 11 summit I had to make the hard decision between an axys and T3. My cousin came off an 11 summit and I was constantly bugging him how he liked the new digs and much to my surprise he wansnt raving about it. After some hard thinking I decided on the t3. My first mountain ride out I was lucky enough to try my t3 back to back with an axys. I by no means regretted my decision however I did appreciate some of the things the poo did.
Axys likes:
Snappy bottom end power
Narrow saddle
Sled just keeps moving in the deep
Very predictable on its side

Axys dislikes:
Weak top end power
3" track was not impressive. The axys with 2.6" outperformed it.
The durability was not very impressive. Both machines had limited miles and were pretty beat up already.

T3 likes
Good top and mid range power
Great fuel milage
3" track works great and has a ton of traction.
Sled requires little effort to get on edge.

T3 dislikes
Lethargic bottom end
Can be a little squirrely on sidehills
Tank and saddle is a little wide.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to ride the 850 but that's my take on the axys and T3.
