Doo or Poo?...

It's weird them doos have an oinking noise when ridden in the back country.
 
Thats true . . . they are a little on the "porky" side :)



At least they last more than one season.......



One thing I find very interesting is how so many poo riders, say the G4 isn't anything great or game changing. If that is the case then the axys isn't either. Let's look at the changes of the G4 vs t3

New lighter quicker and stronger engine
Engine is now centered in chassis
New lighter tracks (first 3.5 pitch) I think the other manufacturers will see the advantage to the 3.5 pitch
New lighter clutch
New raised and lightened chassis
New front suspension
Better ergonomics
Narrower body and boards
25 lb over all weight loss


Now axys vs pro
Lighter quicker stronger engine
New lighter tracks
Same clutch
Raised and lighter chassis
New front suspension
Better ergonomics
Narrower body and boards
9 lb weight loss.

All things considered, the G4 is more of an improvement than the axys. :)

Snow Checked two 850 Summit X 165 sleds.

The new Rotax engine looks great, everything was done for longevity and performance increases.

Selling the XMs because I believe the new Gen4 is a real game changer and don't want to be left behind. The XM sleds have been flawless but it is time to move forward.

It is going to be a long summer.

I think there would be lots of people including me that would argue that the axys is doing just fine. I'm just short of 1100 miles on my axys that I just strapped a turbo on. I'll probably do a top end on it next summer since It's turboed just to be safe. Hasn't skipped a beat.

Jaynelson is right. Snowest is the only place on the planet that a Polaris motor only lasts 500 miles and doo motors go 15000

Oh don't worry, I'm not referring to only the engine. Ya I know the axys engine is pretty good, I have seen several with over 1,000 miles and some of those are turboed. I was mostly replying to a smart azz remark. Heck, even my pro has lasted pretty good but nothing like my Doo.
 
I've had seat time on the Axys and the new 850 Doo.

I am a Doo guy and after spending 3 straight days on a Poo last month and then riding the 850 Doo right after, I realized how good the Axys handles in comparison to the 850.

The low end grunt of the Axys and the lightweight chassis makes it shine for technical riding.

The torque of the 850 is incredible and the improvements over my XM are all very nice!

That being said, I snowchecked a 850 Doo for 17 mainly due to the longevity and reliability of the ETEC engine. Even my buds 2016 Axys had all kinds of Electrical problems this year which deterred me from Polaris.

2017 is going to be a fun year no matter what you guys choose!

 
I don't want to mis-speak, but I was told by a ski doo rep at the reveal in Seattle, that they weren't going to even start building the 850's until like 2nd week inDecember. ( they were going to be last production build)
If I mis heard, my bad..... ( not going to mention any names)
What's this verdict??? Any one with some facts?
Would kinda suck to sno check and not see it until late December..

This is wrong, I was there (Seattle), not sure who told yo that, and yes that is the wrong info, sleds will be delivered well before snow flies. I will leave it at that. Shows you when someone might say something how it gets changed on the forums.:face-icon-small-sho
