I jumped on my first sled in 1970.......

YOu do the math, its too painful for me to do it.......

It just confirms how old I am getting....

4 years old!

Spent Christmas out on the drilling rig with MY Dad and Mom when I was 4 years old and woke up to a Kitty Cat under the tree at the camp. Nearly got run over by the water hauler that same day riding on the road (LOL). I've had a sled every year since then. So I've been riding for 30 years!

It was always something I wanted to do but couldn't really afford it until my 30's. I'm in my 10th year and making up for lost time.

We've got a couple of guys in their late 70's in our club and they hit it every weekend--both guys are on mountain sleds too! I wanna be like them when I grow up.

Started when I was 12 on a 1969 399 Ski Doo Olympic. No grooming, snoparks, parking permits, sled license, the man, no snowmobiling signs, skinny skiers, and the women stayed home (still does).

Haha, close! I was 10 on a '70 Olympique 340.

Started riding the Hunters Range Mountains and Alpine 31 years ago on a 1974 John Deere JDX6(36hp). My ridin buddy (Brad Stordahl) had a 1972 Olympic. It was a great day if we ever made it to the Chalet, walked out a few times! Those were the years we siphoned lots of fuel out of the parents vehicles to go back up with a bag of tools and parts! 45 sleds later I am ridin the same mountains on a Yamaha Nytro(270hp).

Wow it would seem sled heads are a dying breed haha! Most of you are older than my dad! The poll seems very top heavy.... Why? I know lots of young people riding in my area.

Family was never into it, so I had to wait till I was done college and had a "real job" to buy a sled.
