Just wondering a few cheap ways to squeez more power out of this thing. 2007 M1000 kinda seems doggy, no low end power at 9000 feet seems like it is over powered at 1600 feet

Mine runs excellant at 9000 feet. All stock except for ski's. What sled did you ride before? As far as best add on I would suggest powder pro's for superior handling, and can for weight savings. If you want power you'll need $800+ for a single pipe/can and a fuel control box.

get a light weight can for 1000, y-pipe unless you're under 6000 ft elevation, then use a fuel control box with the y-pipe, open up the air box a little (several methods) doesn't need to be much money, clutch to run 72-7400 rpm

there are a number of things you can do without $800 & a box.

a head, a Y, an intake all make power individually without the need for a box.

I would say head as a start, M1k seems to have no snap stock, the head helped a lot.
