swapmeet issues?

I didn't even know there were two seperate swapmeets???
Probably never.
At this point the two are VERY different and they seem to have different people using them.
The SwapMeet works inside of the forums and acts as a regular forum.
The Classifieds works outside of the forums and acts totaly independently of the forums. They offer very distinct look and feel differences. Some seem to like the one, while others prefer the other.
There is no way to bring all of the features of both of them together.

and charging for the swap adds, could not have generated enough $$$ for the site.. and the management.
This could have been done without offending so many of the long time users ? but who needs them RIGHT ?

The ownership of the site wanted to keep the swapmeet FREE as a public service to the general snowmobiling community.
But you have to love it.
On the one had we are trashed for charging, and on the other had criticized for not charging.

Did you state that a free basic member will be allowed to post and reply in swapmeet with out an Paid Premium Membership ?

True, but I think having to check two different locations for possible parts to buy isn't the most efficient.
It has been answered many times already. They are FREE and it seems they ALWAYS WILL BE!
YES. We stated that as clearly as we could.
In The Letter to all Members from Harris Publishing..
It clearly states that..
Guest:
* Will have the ability to see all the forums and read a portion of all the threads
* Will be able to READ SwapMeet Forum
* Will be able to READ the SnowSafety Forum
* Will be able to READ the SnowMembers Forum
Free Basic Member:
This level will be completely free.
Members here will have all of the privileges of a guest, but will also get:
* Full posting ability in the SwapMeet forum, the SnowSafety forum, and the SnowMembers forum.
Why do you have to make this into yet another attack?

I sent the letter directly to you as a PM and as a E-Mail.
And then last week I made it a REQUIRED READ for 100% of the membership, and yet you never read it????
And that somehow makes me the bad guy for ignoring your question?
