Stock gearing is 20/41 2.05 ratio. To gear down to 2.15, I can go 19/41 or 20/43. Would the effect be the same? Are bigger gears better than smaller ones? What do you think?

ive always found the best torque to track speed ratio on my sleds to be at about 2.25 which would be about 19/43 gearing. that would be my recomendation on your sled... what mods do you have done? if its pretty much stock, piped, or really anthing other than boosted i've found the 19/43 gear ratio to work very well.

just slp pipe. What pinch chain is needed with 19/43? How much top speed on the flat would you loose? (important if racing a m8 or xp)

The stock chain on the D8's will accommodate 19/42 which is close. Typically you want to use the largest diameter sprockets you can. Less rolling resistance in the chain and helps maintain strength as it doesn't have as sharp of a curvature to pull around.

i believe its a 92pitch chain if i remember right for the 19/43 top speed i would think would still be around 75-80mph but i could be wrong... track speed in the pow should be up over 40 though

Stock pitch is 76P on the D8's if you can fit the 19/42 which I think would be real tight you would need a 78P for the 19/43. And that would also be my suggestion for your setup.

stock on the 09 dragon is 19/41 08's were 20/41, I think 19/41 works good, but dropping mine to a 19/42 while I have it apart
